Will Harry And Cho End Up Together In The Alternate Timeline? Cho Chang In The Alternate Timeline Of The Cursed Child Play

I have a headcanon about Cho Chang in the Cursed Child play/book. I firmly believe that Cho ended up with Harry in the alternate timeline. Let us consider that Cedric went to the Yule ball with Cho Chang, despite his defeat in the first task in the alternate timeline. Then they eventually would have started dating, because Cho is very kind-hearted and will never consider the fact that he lost in the first task in their relationship. She even would have supported Cedric to perform well in the second task. But he would have become very mortified when he lost the second task with great humiliation because of Albus and Scorpius. Cho definitely would have tried to calm him down. Exhausted by the worst degradation of his dignity, he would have become rude and hostile towards everyone, including Cho. But Cho will understand his state of mind and will try to settle Cedric down. But Cedric would have ultimately humiliated Cho (as in the case of Lily and Snape) and would have joined the death eaters. Cho and Cedric would
have eventually fallen apart. She would have had a small touch of sadness in her, for the evil destiny Cedric is headed for, but will not grieve over this break-up as she did in the Order of Phoenix(he only broke up with her, not died).

So, in due course, Cho will get over this breakup and will be as cheerful as ever in her sixth year. She would not be crying all day long, rather smiling always. She would be always surrounded by her friends who made her laugh persistently. She would have many friends to rely on. So she would have invited her other friends to join the Dumbledore Army, rather than forcing Marietta to join the army against her will. So Marietta would have never joined the DA. She would have started dating Harry after kissing him under the mistletoe. Harry would have liked this kiss as this is a more intense and joyful one than the “wet” kiss in the order of the phoenix. Their relationship will be very light-hearted and pure. Cho would not have been confused about her relationship with Harry, since she will only have bitter memories for Cedric. Their first date in  Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop in December 1995 would not have been ruined, since Cho will never ask about Cedric’s death(since he is alive now), and would not have run away, crying during her date.

Harry would have been very passionate about her enthusiastic girlfriend Cho. But Cho would certainly have jealousy problems with Hermione, which would have been solved since Cho is very kind to everyone and would have opened up about her problem with Hermione, one day or the other.

Since Marietta never joined the DA, she will not betray the army. This major change will switch the course of the story since Umbridge will never catch the army and Dumbledore will never be arrested. But we will not talk about it since we are discussing only Harry and Cho’s relationship here. They will not

argue about the betrayal and eventually break up, as in the real timeline.

With all the obstacles removed, they will have a quite happy relationship, with Harry not showing interest in Ginny while having Cho as his girlfriend.

Even with the relationship going smoothly, it will not last long since Harry will get killed in the Wizarding war. This would have left Cho devastated(like in the case when Cedric died). She would ultimately become the sensitive girl who cries always, even in the alternate timeline.
